MUZE'UM L, LIGHT & LANDSCAPE
A CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE TO EXPERIENCE THE LIGHTMERIDIAN
a private museum with day light as artwork
the contemporary architecture operates as a great light generator, where the sun transforms the local longitude into a light meridian // a long, white building no taller than a man lies on a green hillside // a longitudinal cleft in the roof allows a shaft of sunlight to enter and draw the meridian as a line of light on the patio //
MUZE'UM L + MERIDIAN
at exactly 3°7’45” to the east of the greenwich meridian (0° longitude), an imaginary north-south line passes through the 2,5 ha zilverberg site, south of roeselare (be) // on this meridian arises the muze’um L,// A monumental sculpture //
this meridian has only water on the other side of the earthglobe
MUZE’UM L / AN ODE TO THE NATURE
on the north side, the farmer represented the "meridian of light" by applying a different crop to a straight strip, different from those next to it
MUZE’UM L / A POWERFUL CATALYST FOR THE ARTISTS
the muze’um L acts as a catalyst for creations of light, line and landscape and is available to all who feel attracted by any discipline to perform something in-situ // in-situ events and in-situ exhibitions will be the driving force both on the site and in the indoor space of the muze’um L // artists can experience the architectural and natural environment to develop their idea // exhibitions are designed and adapted to the surrounding area. //
MUZE’UM L / SITE SPECIFIC ART AT THE RIGHT TIME
'in the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary' aaron rose
you can experience the great and daily slowly moving light in the patio and feel the warmth of the light at the amphitheater // also most of site-specific creations both outdoor and in indoor flourish at the right time // retrace your steps to appreciate the changing phenomena
MUZE’UM L / SINCE 14 JUNE 2017 THE MUZE'UM L WAS NAMED
